Want to download your Voter ID card online? You can easily download the digital version of your Voter ID, known as e-EPIC (Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card), through the official Election Commission of India (ECI) Voter Service Portal.
The e-EPIC is a digital version of your Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) that you can keep on your mobile phone or computer. The Election Commission of India provides an online facility for eligible electors to access and download their e-EPIC.
Prosses to Download Voter ID Card Online
Step 1:- First, visit the official website by clicking on the link provided above.
Step 2:- Log in to the portal using your ID and password. If you are visiting for the first time, click the ‘Sign-Up’ button to register your mobile number.
Step 3:- After logging in, you will see the “E-EPIC Download” button on the homepage; click on it.
Step 4:- You will now have two options. Enter your EPIC Number and select your state. Then, click the ‘Search’ button.
Step 5:- Your details will appear on the screen. Click the ‘Send OTP’ button below. A 6-digit code will be sent to your registered mobile number; enter it and click ‘Verify’.
Step 6:- Once verification is successful, the ‘Download e-EPIC’ option will become active. Clicking on it will download your digital voter ID card.
Can I Download Voter ID Without EPIC Number?
If you do not know your EPIC number, you should first search for your name in the electoral roll using the Election Commission’s voter search facility.
The ECI states that voters can check their registration status through the official electoral search service, and the Voter Service Portal also provides a Search Your Name in Voter List service.
Once you find your voter record and EPIC details, you can use the information to access the e-EPIC download service.
How to Check If Your Name Is in the Voter List
Before trying to download a Voter ID, make sure your name appears in the electoral roll.
The Election Commission of India says that you can vote only if your name appears in the Voter List (Electoral Roll). You can check your registration through the official electoral search service or by contacting the Voter Helpline at 1950.
You can also use the official ECI Voter Service Portal, which provides a Search Your Name in Voter List option.
