UP Outsource Employees Salary Hike 2026: Good news for outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh. The Basic Education Department has increased the monthly honorarium of outsourced staff working in district project offices by up to 25 per cent.
Who Will Benefit
The hike is for people working through outsourcing as stenographers, accountants, assistant accountants, typists, clerks, and computer operators. Till now, a stenographer and an accountant were paid ₹18,560 every month. Their pay will now go up to ₹23,200, which is ₹4,640 more each month.

When Will the Higher Pay Start
Many employees are asking when they will start getting the new amount. The government is preparing to give the higher honorarium from October. However, no arrears will be paid for now.
375 Employees Will Gain
In all, 375 outsourced employees will benefit. Every district project office in the state has five such employees, and this makes the total 375 across Uttar Pradesh. All of them work through a service provider.
The office has issued instructions to officials to make sure these employees receive the increased honorarium. Officials have also been told to keep the payment process transparent.
Earlier Decision for Roadways Staff
Earlier, the state had also taken a decision on outsourced staff of the State Road Transport Corporation. About a month and a half ago, a 10 per cent hike in their honorarium was approved. This covered computer operators, programmers, accountants, and Tally operators. However, the honorarium of mechanics hired from outside agencies in roadway bus workshops was not revised category-wise.
