PM Kisan 24th Installment 2026: Farmers across India are waiting for the next payment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The government released the 23rd installment on June 20, 2026, and eligible farmers received the benefit directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Now, attention has shifted to the 24th installment.
As of October 3, 2026, the Government of India has not officially announced the exact release date of the 24th PM-KISAN installment. Based on the scheme’s usual four-month installment cycle, the 24th installment is expected around October 2026, but farmers should wait for an official announcement before treating any particular date as confirmed.
PM Kisan 24th Installment Date 2026: What Is the Latest Update?
The latest official information available on the PM-KISAN portal confirms that the 23rd installment was released on June 20, 2026, from Tarakeswar in Hooghly, West Bengal.
The 23rd installment provided more than ₹18,880 crore to around 9.44 crore farmers through DBT.
Since PM-KISAN payments are generally released in three installments covering three four-month periods, the next installment falls in the August-November 2026 period. Therefore, October 2026 is being widely discussed as the expected period for the 24th installment.
However, there is currently no officially confirmed date for the 24th installment on the PM-KISAN portal. Farmers should be careful about social-media posts or websites claiming that a particular date has already been confirmed.

How Much Money Will Farmers Get in the 24th Installment?
Eligible farmer families will receive ₹2,000 under the 24th installment.
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible landholding farmer families receive:
- ₹6,000 per year
- Paid in three equal installments
- ₹2,000 per installment
- Payment is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT
The government has continued the PM-KISAN scheme for the period 2026-27 to 2030-31, with a total financial outlay of ₹3.15 lakh crore. The government has not announced an increase in the regular annual PM-KISAN assistance from ₹6,000 to a higher amount.
Therefore, farmers should not believe unverified claims that the 24th installment will automatically be ₹4,000, ₹5,000 or any other increased amount.
e-KYC Is Mandatory for PM Kisan
One of the most important requirements for receiving PM-KISAN benefits is e-KYC.
The official PM-KISAN portal clearly states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN farmers. Biometric-based e-KYC is also available through authorised channels, including CSCs and the PM-KISAN mobile application.
Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC should complete it before the next payment is processed.
