How to Apply for a Ration Card Online in Bihar
Step 1:- First, visit the official website by clicking on the link provided above: Smart PDS.
Step 2:- You will then see an option for ‘Citizens’—click on it. You will then be presented with two choices: ‘Login with Aadhaar OTP’ and ‘Login with Ration Card Number’. Since you want to apply for a new ration card, select the ‘Login with Aadhaar OTP’ option.
Step 3:- For the person for whom you wish to apply for a ration card, enter their 12-digit Aadhaar number along with the captcha code, and then click on the ‘OTP’ option. An OTP will be sent to their mobile number; enter this OTP to log in.
Step 4:- A form will now open on your screen; you need to carefully fill in all the details requested in this form, following the 4 steps provided.
- Name of the head of the family
- Residential address
- District, block, and other location details
- Names and details of family members
- Aadhaar and mobile information, where required
- Other information requested by the department
Step 5:- After filling in all the details carefully, submit your form. Once submitted, a notification confirming the successful submission will appear on your screen, and you will be provided with an application number.
